Readings: Politics

We are going to segue from journalism to politics, since it seems to be good timing for that. We still haven’t gotten a good hold on the journalistic side of things, yet, but the two are far from mutually exclusive. Read over the following, and write/link to more information. Think about writing a mini-column or letter to the editor. That is: your post should have a thesis, an idea that is supported by evidence:

* Wolf, How the Internet Invented Howard Dean
* Seper, For good or ill, blogs make waves
* Hewitt, The growing power of the blog

Optional (or Grad):
* Papacharissi, Democracy online: civility, politeness, and the democratic potential of online political discussion groups
