Tim Bray has a great entry on building web robots–or at least robots intended for search engines. I may assign this, along with his paper for WWW, for my class in the spring.

wow thats really cool
Hey, I dont really know what this wesite is all about. But I understand it has something to do with robots…so I was wondering if anyone has anyone has any ideas and tips on how to build a ‘lifesize robot’.
