We have lost many of our seasonal traditions in America. The Japanese, and to a lesser extent Europeans, have maintained some feel for the rituals of the season. Yet even as we leave aside many of our recurring festivals, we seem to memorialize the the traumatic. I only wish we celebrated as well as we mourn.
That said, I wouldn’t want to be left out. I had the chance to contribute a chapter to the new report on use of the Web after September 11 compiled by the Pew Internet and American Life project.
