‘Self-Googling’ for brand management

Watercooler Stories (UPI):

“Self-Googling” — looking up one’s own name in the search engine — is recommended by a University at Buffalo professor as a form of “personal brand management.”

Why not “egosurfing.” I don’t know. Sounds good to me, though.
