Not sure how I missed this, but the Memecodes Project is a pretty darn cool idea. Beginning with a seed set of pages with random words appearing on them, each page spawns a new page when hit by a google search — a page that includes the other words in the search. After a while old pages die, so you are left with the “footprint” of Google searches — basically a semantic network for searching.
