Ghosts of the woods

Fancy Photoshop filter, perhaps? Nope, this is simply a fair and balanced representation of the photo of Jamie (my wife) and Finn (my dog) as it was taken. We hiked up Slate Creek in Orchard Park earlier this week. This is a series of small falls about a mile downstream from the Eternal Flame Falls. The clouds were a surprise, a result of the flash and the water vapor from the falls. There are aparently algorithms that will filter this out afterward, as well as lenses and flash systems to keep it from happening. Heck, even a fill light would get rid of most of it. But, I am lucky if I remember to bring the camera, and if I do to remember to take a picture. Besides, I kind of like the look :). (As always, click for big version.)
