I always liked batman more than the other superheros because he was a techie. He didn’t accidently get bitten by a mutant spider (a scenario that seemed far more unlikely when I was a kid than it does now), he made stuff that allowed him to appear “super.” That is still a cool way to go, I think. And now, to add to my superhero equipment belt, gecko tape. Scientists at Manchester U are working on an adhesive that makes use of nanotech setae. They say that it would allow someone to climb on walls or cielings, and they would be able to move by peeling their hands or feet rather than lifting. Sign me up :).
