The Persuaders, Douglas Rushkoff’s new Frontline special will be airing tomorrow night, in most of the country. But not on our local PBS station, where they are putting it off until the 30th. Grumble. I was really hoping the MITIArs would have a chance to see it sooner. I guess I’ll just have to pray that someone puts up a torrent file reasonably quickly. [hint, hint]

Good news — you’ll be able to watch it on the FRONTLINE web site, hopefully as early as Thursday (Nov. 11) night. http://www.pbs.org/frontline/shows/persuaders/
If you don’t get it that way let me know – I too am TIVO’ing it tonight & can make you a copy & send it off to you if you want. Are you going to NCA this week? I’m headed to COOOOLLLLLDDD Chicago tomorrow.
Jessica: That’s great news. I knew that “Merchants of Cool” had been made available pretty quickly, but I wasn’t sure how long it would take this time around. Thanks for letting me know!
And Kaye: no NCA this year (actually, I’ve never been), but have a great trip. And I’ll hit you up for Frontline if I can’t get it otherwise — Thanks!
I watched “The Persuaders”. To say this program should be mandatory in a PR or advertising class is an understatement. They covered data mining, product placement, political media tactics, language, and word association. I was wowed.
