The media has discovered Second Life in a big way. So, I’m chatting with people about it. Here is an article in the New Haven Register (but I do have land!), and below is a piece for the local NBC affiliate. Camera adds 100 pounds, as they say. Oh, wait, they don’t say that?

Well done! Second Life is also getting a lot of press in Singapore, where prominent residents have setup a virtual Singapore called “Lion City”. You can search for that island in the SL map. :)
Great! I can even see myself for a nanosecond sitting in the corner. :)
mmm, well dressed avatars….
I sent you an email about my own professional SL avatar some mins ago :)
Lots of press for SL here in Brazil too
SL helped me discover I will never make a fortune in either life – I discovered it in its early days and thought ‘this is doomed to be a toy for very few people, there will never be too many interested in something so fiddly”. Stooopid me!
Jeremy: Thanks for the loaner, so I didn’t look quite as destitute.
Yeah, lots of quick cuts there, but I like that they showed a bit of it and gave people a little bit of an idea of what it was like. The ABC special, which runs to something like 40 minutes, gets in a lot more depth…
Prof Erde, thanks for leading the way!
