The last time that i organized one (Tracy Chapman), day-of prep started at 5AM with sound and stage construction. Artists arrived in their dressing rooms by noon and sound check was at 2PM. Vocals need to be relaxed so artists often don't speak after sound check, but retire to their room with lots and lots of water. I've never heard of an artist doing 2 concerts in the same day. They're one of the bands on Robbie Takac's (Goo Goo Dolls) new record label and IMO are the hottest local band. Others to consider would be bands that made the final round at the Emergenza battle of the bands (<a href="http://www.emergenza.net">emergenza.net</a>). <a href="http://www.wnymusic.com">wnymusic.com</a> is a great resource for this type of thing as well.
