I think you are right. I recently talked to a university association about publicity on the web and tried to get them to understand that everyone is a global brand when it comes to the web. It&#039;s not just that the potential reach exists, it&#039;s that it requires to be filled.

I think folks are blind to the &quot;British Invasion&quot; on the news front. The Beeb and the Guardian are making significant inroads in the US, and the reach of other regional news sources (e.g., Al Jazeera) is almost as impressive. The only people reading something like Al Jazeera ten years ago would be serious policy wonks and regional experts--now a substantial subset of the population is steered their way when a news story hits.</description>
