Living in a winter wonderland

wonder4small.jpg Yes, everyone is right. It does snow in Buffalo. All but the very last had melted away when we got a fresh snowfall this morning. The doors on the car froze shut, and we spent a good half-hour trying to spring them. I was hoping to get the grime off the car before the next snowfall, but I’ve been too busy. Waking up to images like the one on the left (or like these) almost makes it worth it. Of course, I also doubt I would grow bored with a palm blowing softly in a warm tropical breeze…

Although I have to admit that this particular snowfall was beautiful (that is to say other types of Buffalo snow are awful, ie: the brown slush snow), I won’t be too disappointed to wave goodbye to it as I board a plane next Monday for Orlando, Florida. But perhaps the snow would be better Christmas company than my mother. After 2 weeks of the bickering and frustration, I will be happy to find the snow waiting for me here as I return to my lovely hometown, Buffalo! :-)

You know, I have some training as a mediator. You could always fly me down for some professional consulting :). I’m sure I could find someone to take pictures of snow while I’m gone…
