As for the missing human element - I agree, it was a little strange recording a 'soundtrack' for a powerpoint. It was a good way, from the organizers' perspective, to pull together a lot of content - but a realtime discussion with q&a would have been more satisfying for the presenters as well as for the audience. BTW Cynthia included one important piece that I omitted - reference to Reed's Law.
