Breeze & Transparency online

I am engaged in a three-week online seminar with other online teachers at Quinnipiac, talking about teaching and learning online. Since this week I we are talking about transparency, I figured I should put my contribution up here on my blog as well. So, here is the short (11 minute) presentation in Breeze–it opens in a new window.

It’s just some off-the-cuff comments. I think the online folks at QU are a fan of Breeze, along with Blackboard. I think there’s a place for it, but, as I note in the presentation, I’m not sure it’s better than audio alone.

Haha, I am guessing you planned this as a defense of your point that audio can be sufficiently engaging. I noticed you started with some graphically engaging visuals, then as the presentation moves on, there are just a few words on the screen that don’t change often, and one is left listening to what you are saying…

Yessss. It was a rhetorical strategy. That’s the ticket!
