Analyzing Google

Google Talk is a great. You enter in a few words, and it guesses at the next one, based upon a google search of the string. It then moves the window and tries to continue the sentence. It’s a little like playing word associations with the collective unconscious. Here are some of the statements that were elicited, using the bold words as a prompt:

Social informatics is the science of getting rich.

George Bush doesn’t know how to make a web page in a weekend.

The last thing you want to do when you’re bored? Things like going to the movies in the park.

    What an interesting game! It’s like a Google version of MadLibs. I don’t know that I have anything particularly new to add here, but I really enjoyed the GW Bush search…
